Refunds & Returns Policy – The StartUp Deck

Last updated: 8 November 2025

We built The StartUp Deck to help founders move faster, not to trap anyone in a bad purchase. If it’s not a “this is helping” for you, we want to make it right.
This policy explains how returns, refunds, and our 30-day guarantee work, in line with Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

1. Our 30-Day “No Questions Asked” Guarantee
If you order directly from thestartupdeck.com, you’re covered by our 30-day money-back guarantee.

If, within 30 days of receiving your deck, you feel:

  • It’s not useful for where you’re at, or

  • It’s not what you expected,

you can request a refund. No weird forms. No interrogation.

How to claim:

  1. Email us or use the Contact page with:

    • Your name

    • Order number

    • Reason for return (optional, but helps us improve)

  2. We’ll confirm return instructions.

  3. Once the deck is returned (where required) and received, we’ll process your refund to the original payment method.

In most cases for change-of-mind within 30 days, we:

  • May request that the product is returned in reasonable condition, or

  • May waive return of the physical deck at our discretion.

We’ll confirm this with you when you contact us.

2. Faulty, Damaged, or Incorrect Items
If your deck arrives:

  • Damaged

  • Defective

  • Incomplete

  • Not what you ordered

you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund under Australian Consumer Law.

Please contact us as soon as possible with:

  • Your order number

  • A brief description of the issue

  • Photos of the product and packaging (if damaged)

We’ll:

  • Assess the issue quickly, and

  • Either replace the deck, resend missing items, or provide a refund, depending on what’s reasonable and required under ACL.

We don’t hide behind fine print here — if we’ve missed the mark, we’ll fix it.

3. Change-of-Mind Returns (Beyond 30 Days)
Our official guarantee is 30 days from delivery.

After 30 days:

  • Change-of-mind refunds are generally not available, unless required by law.

  • If there are unique circumstances, reach out — we’ll always act reasonably and fairly.

4. Where You Purchased Matters
This policy applies to decks purchased:

  • Directly via thestartupdeck.com

If you purchased through a third-party retailer, distributor, or partner, please:

  • Contact them directly for returns and refunds, as their terms may apply.

  • You still retain rights under Australian Consumer Law; your claim just starts with the place of purchase.

5. How Refunds Are Processed

  • Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method.

  • Timing depends on your bank or payment provider (usually 3–10 business days).

Shipping costs:

  • For faulty/incorrect products, we’ll cover or refund reasonable return shipping where required.

  • For change-of-mind, original shipping is generally non-refundable, except where required by law or otherwise stated by us.

6. Digital Access & Bonuses
Your order may include:

  • 6 months of access to our digital founder resource library, or

  • Other promotional bonuses.

If your order is refunded:

  • We reserve the right to revoke or limit access to associated digital bonuses linked to that purchase.

We’ll set this out clearly in your order confirmation where relevant.

7. Your Rights Under Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this policy limits or excludes any rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.
You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage.

You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

8. How to Contact Us
For any questions about returns, refunds, or guarantees:

  • Use the Contact page on our site

We aim to respond within 1–2 business days.
